About the Role
Provide individual support services to adults (age 16+) who are culturally Deaf, oral deaf, deafened, deafblind and hard of hearing or to their family to assist them to live independently within their community and access services and supports. Promote and advocate for accessibility and sensitivity community wide.

- Provide individual support services to adults (age 16+) who are culturally Deaf, oral deaf, deafened, deafblind and hard of hearing or to their family.
- Assist clients to live independently within their community and access services and supports (home, work, school, family and social).
- Promote and advocate for accessibility and sensitivity community wide.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ counselling and case management within the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.
- Knowledge/experience with landlord-tenant concerns, income supports, AODA, and provincial and federal services.
- Legally eligible for employment in Canada.
- Vaccines (COVID and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.

- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL), or willingness to learn is considered an asset.
