About the Role
As a Risk Settlement Senior Consultant, you will be a key member of the 70-strong Risk Settlement Group, contributing expertise to a diverse range of specialists and sub-teams. This role involves advising clients on their strategic 'Journey to Settlement' and taking a central role in new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior support or lead transaction advisory on settlement transactions including buy-ins, buy-outs, wind-ups, longevity swaps, and consolidation/capital solutions.
- Manage transaction execution, ensuring timely and on-budget completion, and lead stakeholder relationships.
- Advise clients on their strategic 'Journey to Settlement', including market preparation and feasibility.
- Develop relationships with external stakeholders like trustees, sponsors, and other advisers to identify settlement opportunities.
- Take a central role in new business opportunities and internal/external initiatives.
- Utilize settlement market knowledge to provide innovative client solutions.
- Support marketing initiatives and media engagement, including the annual marketing campaign and risk settlement conference.
- Contribute to the growth of the team.
- Develop and implement new strategies and propositions within the Risk Settlement Group.
- Coach, mentor, and support direct and indirect reports to foster future leaders.
Requirements
- Track record of delivery on settlement transactions.
- Wide industry experience coupled with sound technical capability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivating and ambitious.
- Ability to encourage and develop colleagues.
- Ability to work well within diverse teams.
- Capacity for attention to detail while also considering wider strategic matters.
