About the Role
ClearScore is expanding its Site Reliability Engineering team to enhance productivity, reliability, and efficiency. The SRE team builds an internal developer platform ensuring high uptime for critical services, supporting numerous production releases monthly, and scaling intelligently. This role offers a chance to work within an exciting tech culture, utilizing best-in-class tools to solve complex problems. We seek self-motivated problem solvers with development or operations backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Work with technologies including Kubernetes, AWS, Python, Go, Terraform, Jenkins, ArgoCD, and Kafka.
- Contribute to operational support, investigate and resolve routine issues.
- Build an understanding of how your work affects other teams and the wider business.
- Use AI tooling pragmatically to improve efficiency while ensuring changes are thoughtful, reviewable, and maintainable.
Requirements
- Strong fundamentals in automation, networking, and containerization.
- Self-motivated problem solvers with backgrounds in development or operations.
Skills
- Automating in a Linux environment (e.g. BASH, PYTHON)
- Operating distributed systems with complex failure modes
- Deploying & operating infrastructure in AWS or a similar public cloud
- Building & running containerised production workloads (e.g. Kubernetes, Hashicorp Nomad, Docker Swarm)
- Developing software in a compiled language (e.g. Python, Golang)
- Working with security best practises
- Implementing Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment workflows (e.g. Jenkins, Spinnaker, Concourse, ArgoCD)
- Working with logging aggregators (e.g. Elasticsearch, Loki)
- Working with monitoring platforms (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, InfluxDB, Datadog)
- Proficiency in deploying, configuring, and optimising Kafka for high availability and performance.
- Capable of balancing technical tradeoffs against each other to find solutions that serve their team and company well
