About the Role

Center State Propane is seeking a skilled Installation Lead to perform residential and commercial propane equipment installations while leading installation crews. The role ensures installations are completed safely, efficiently, and professionally, serving as the primary field representative and delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Complete and document daily pre-trip vehicle inspections.
• Verify availability of required materials, equipment, and parts before each installation.
• Manage daily inventory of parts and appliances for installation.
• Update job statuses using an electronic tablet.
• Record labor hours and materials used via the mobile application for accurate billing and inventory control.
• Complete propane equipment installations in accordance with company standards, manufacturer specifications, and applicable codes.
• Contact customers prior to coordinate arrival time and exhibit exceptional customer service.
• Ensure installations are completed efficiently while maintaining profitability and quality workmanship.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Conduct a final customer walkthrough upon project completion.
• Mentor and provide guidance to Installation Helpers on safe work practices and quality workmanship.
• Maintain professional communication with office staff regarding project status, scheduling changes, and field issues.

Requirements

• Experience installing propane, HVAC, plumbing, gas piping, or related mechanical systems preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read proposals, installation diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Experience using tablets or mobile applications for field documentation.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to safely lift heavy equipment and work in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Skills

• Knowledge of propane systems, gas piping, regulators, tanks, and appliances.
• Leadership experience supervising or training field personnel.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with office staff and management.
