About the Role

The Compliance Specialist is responsible for reviewing Affordable Housing applications and ensuring they are eligible and compliant with applicable and current regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Review Affordable Housing resident files for eligibility and compliance with all required laws.
  • Review files based on information presented by applicants and ensure completion within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined in the personnel manual.
  • Monitor changes in LIHTC regulations and requirements and implement necessary modifications.
  • Attend TDHCA trainings annually.
  • Attend HCCP training within the first two years of employment and achieve a passing score on the exam to receive the HCCP designation.
  • Participate in all tax credit reviews conducted by outside entities.

Requirements

  • Possess strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach.
  • Strong computer literacy skills, including proficiency with RealPage Onesite Tax Credit software.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position and may be subject to additional compliance requirements.
