About the Role
The Compliance Specialist is responsible for reviewing Affordable Housing applications and ensuring they are eligible and compliant with applicable and current regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Review Affordable Housing resident files for eligibility and compliance with all required laws.
- Review files based on information presented by applicants and ensure completion within 24 hours of receipt.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined in the personnel manual.
- Monitor changes in LIHTC regulations and requirements and implement necessary modifications.
- Attend TDHCA trainings annually.
- Attend HCCP training within the first two years of employment and achieve a passing score on the exam to receive the HCCP designation.
- Participate in all tax credit reviews conducted by outside entities.
Requirements
- Possess strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach.
- Strong computer literacy skills, including proficiency with RealPage Onesite Tax Credit software.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- This is a safety-sensitive position and may be subject to additional compliance requirements.
