About the Role

As a Caregiver, you will provide direct care and support to residents by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting safety, dignity, and overall well-being in accordance with community protocols and individualized care plans.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, transferring, and toileting.
  • Follow safety guidelines, proper lifting techniques, and universal precautions.
  • Transfer, transport, and escort residents as needed.
  • Follow assigned caregiver schedules and individual resident care plans.
  • Respond promptly to all call lights.
  • Monitor resident activity, nutritional intake, functional status, and psychosocial well-being.
  • Report status changes and take appropriate action.
  • Act immediately on resident issues in accordance with protocols and first aid training.
  • Document resident status changes including physical, medication, and psychosocial changes.
  • Assist with enrichment activities and light cleaning of resident apartments.
  • Promote open communication among healthcare professionals, families, residents, and staff.
  • Attend in-service training and education sessions.
  • Perform specific work duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Current CPR certification.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and follow instructions in English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and perform basic arithmetic.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office or willingness to learn within 90 days.
  • Ability to provide coverage or work overtime as needed.
  • Frequent standing, stooping, bending, stretching, and squatting.
  • Ability to push up to 150 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to transfer, lift, turn, and position a resident weighing up to 125 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to reach up to six feet and push a dietary cart weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.

Salary/Compensations
