About the Role

Oakline Properties is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategic Procurement to lead procurement as a platform-wide value-creation function. This high-ownership, high-visibility role reports to the VP of Integration and directly impacts operating performance across all Oakline partner organizations. The individual will own the design and execution of Oakline's sourcing strategy, including vendor programs, category frameworks, governance, and procurement infrastructure to convert scale into measurable savings.

Responsibilities

  • Own the design and execution of Oakline's sourcing strategy, including vendor programs, category frameworks, governance, and procurement infrastructure.
  • Set platform-level standards, tools, and governance for sourcing and vendor management, including vendor taxonomy, RFx process, bid analysis, supplier scorecards, and savings-tracking methodology.
  • Engage directly with property-management operators to drive adoption, close compliance gaps, and realize savings from preferred-vendor agreements.
  • Treat procurement as a value creation lever, assessing, onboarding, and bringing newly acquired partners' spend, contracts, and vendor relationships under enterprise standards.
  • Manage category management end-to-end, running sourcing initiatives from supplier selection through contract negotiation and ongoing performance management.
  • Build category-level spend visibility and cost-reduction roadmaps.
  • Establish the preferred-vendor program category by category, including the governance model for pricing compliance and contract adherence.
  • Establish a benefits-tracking methodology for hard savings, cost avoidance, and rebates, reporting outcomes in terms of cost-per-unit and annual spend reduction.
  • Complete the vendor taxonomy, establish an addressable-spend baseline, and prioritize categories within 3 months.
  • Launch the preferred-vendor program in at least one category with documented savings and operationalize the savings-tracking framework within 6 months.
  • Ensure procurement operates across all priority categories, delivering quantifiable cost-per-unit savings reportable to the board within 12 months.
  • Document and prepare Oakline's sourcing playbook for incoming acquisitions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management with demonstrated end-to-end ownership and measurable savings.
  • Experience establishing or significantly building a procurement function in a high-growth, multi-entity, or platform environment.
  • Track record managing categories at scale (preferably $100M+ in managed or influenced spend) across maintenance and facilities, MRO, technology, or professional services.
  • Proven ability to drive adoption and compliance across decentralized operating teams through influence.
  • Strong analytical capability, including building spend baselines, TCO models, and savings reporting from imperfect data.
  • Experience leading or building a small team (3+ reports) or clear readiness to do so.
  • Familiarity with procurement technology (e-sourcing platforms, contract lifecycle management, ERP integration).
  • Comfortable operating with limited infrastructure and motivated to build the function.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
