About the Role

Okta is building the trusted, neutral infrastructure to enable organizations to safely embrace AI. This role offers an opportunity to do career-defining work by solving complex challenges with real-world stakes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with account executives to develop and execute territory and account strategies.
• Conduct research and discovery to understand customer requirements and communicate the business value of cloud technology solutions.
• Execute the delivery of POCs for customers with complex use cases, collaborating with other Okta engineering teams.
• Craft technical content to demonstrate implementation of specific use cases or standard methodologies for new technologies.
• Prepare and deliver demos to showcase how the Okta platform meets customer business needs and use cases.
• Distill and communicate customer needs and product feedback to Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales.

Requirements

• 5+ years pre-sales engineering experience.
• Customer-facing role experience, such as consulting or support, ideally solutions engineering.
• Ability to quickly and effectively communicate complex technical concepts via presentation, slides, and whiteboard.
• Strong understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM).
• Familiarity with SSO, MFA, SCIM, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, and LDAP.
• Knowledge of lifecycle management, role-based access control (RBAC), and provisioning/deprovisioning.
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust Architecture and core security concerns within a typical application.
• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Elite communication skills.
• Ability to identify, map, and manage multiple personas: IT admins, CISOs, architects, procurement, and legal.
• Confidence in dispensing knowledge to a highly skilled and experienced audience.
