About the Role
The Senior Case Manager oversees social work services within an emergency housing setting, supervising case management staff to ensure quality services are delivered in compliance with agency and funding source guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Provide crisis intervention as appropriate
- Support direct case management duties as needed
- Provide regular supervision for Case Managers
- Conduct 1-to-1 meetings and update performance goals and feedback in Paycom
- Ensure program quality and compliance with requirements
- Promote sound social work practices through case consultations, file reviews, and performance appraisals
- Ensure timely submission of internal and external reports
- Inform Program Manager of deficiencies requiring staff training
- Act as a liaison with referring agencies
- Adhere to proper use of company resources
- Act as a role model to staff in accordance with agency policies
- Provide staff with ongoing training and growth opportunities
- Participate in hiring, employee evaluations, and disciplinary measures
- Oversee department coverage and payroll procedures
- Provide on-call coverage as needed
Requirements
- BSW required
- MSW from an accredited university or related field preferred
- 2-5 years of management services experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in English
- Basic competency in MS Windows, MS Office, and internet usage
- Basic math skills
- Ability to tour properties, walk distances, and climb stairs
- Ability to prioritize, make decisions, and exercise judgment
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Even-tempered with good negotiation skills
