About the Role

Allied Consultants, Inc. is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to play a key role within a high-impact technical services team, supporting front-line business operations across multiple areas within VSS. The role involves ensuring continuity of business operations for the TxEVER system and exceptional items.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs.
  • Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
  • Experienced with business process reengineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems.
  • Familiar with industry standard business process mapping and reengineering.
  • Prepares solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses.
  • Writes detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience required.
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret Texas Vital Statistics laws, policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to manage small to medium sized projects when needed.
  • Ability to create project work plans.
  • Ability to produce accurate work estimates and monitor progress.

  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships, including the ability to work with people under pressure, negotiating with multiple parties and resolving conflicts
  • Reading, interpreting and understanding material to prepare concise reports or appropriate responses for review and/or signature of section managers and/or directors
  • Gathering, organizing and analyzing facts, recommending solutions and resolving work-related problems
  • Maintaining statistical and accounting records and producing data summaries
