About the Role
The division is requesting to retain this Business Analyst to continue work on TxEVER and exceptional items, ensuring continuity of business operations. The contractor will support front-line business operations across multiple areas within VSS, which collects, registers, and amends vital records for legal, administrative, and public health purposes. This role is crucial to respond to increased demand for Vital Records through the Texas Electronic Vital Events Registrar (TxEVER) System and manage continuity of exceptional items.
Responsibilities
- Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs.
- Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
- Prepares solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses.
- Writes detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
Requirements
- 8 years of knowledge and ability to interpret Texas Vital Statistics laws, policies, procedures and regulations.
- 8 years of knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio).
- 8 years of skill in project planning and organization.
- 8 years of skill in business analysis methodologies.
- 8 years of skill in analyzing and evaluating complex information technology applications, policies, and issues.
- 8 years of skill in developing creative and workable solutions to complex problems and issues.
