About the Role
This senior leadership role provides overall direction and guidance to the organization's operational activities, aiming to maximize growth and profitability while responsibly managing resources according to company and client expectations and policies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an operations strategy tailored to clients, identifying opportunities for cost control, margin improvement, and organic growth.
- Ensure operational excellence through standardization of practices, risk assessment, and review of key metrics.
- Plan and execute start-up facilities for new business.
- Lead teams and partner with clients to troubleshoot and solve existing issues.
- Contribute as a key member of the sales and solutions team to win strategic accounts.
- Build bench strength by leading, developing, and challenging operations teams to raise performance levels.
- Question and challenge existing ways of thinking.
- Collaborate and establish solid business relationships with supporting departments including Human Resources, Sales, and Finance.
Requirements
- Must excel at and enjoy teaming with operations team members and client representatives to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Proven ability to lead high-performing teams, recruit, develop, and motivate superior talent.
- Possess the ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships with staff and partners.
- Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Successfully work to reach company goals in an environment requiring a high degree of creativity and latitude.
- Integration experience with the supply chain industry is helpful.
- Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during warmer and colder months.
- Work overtime as dictated by business needs.
- Experience in a client-centric environment with accountability for operations metrics and client relations.
- Third-party logistics experience is preferred but not required.
- Direct experience preparing budgets and actively participating in financial reviews with a solid understanding of standard and actual cost variances.
- Exceptional communication skills needed (all modes) and adept at navigating a matrixed organizational structure.
- Intermediate mathematical, accounting, and financial skills.
- Must be able to travel by plane and automobile.

Experience Level
- A minimum of 10 years logistics operations management experience with big box, e-commerce or specialty retailers and at least 5 years’ experience as a regional operations leader managing multiple locations.
Education Level
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Logistics or equivalent fields is required; MBA preferred but not required
Salary/Compensations
- $230,000.00 – $270,000.00 Annual
