About the Role
As Chanel continues to drive process efficiencies through more harmonised processes and streamlining its systems landscape, we are looking for a Business Application Owner in a truly global function. You will be in charge of a large portfolio of portals including Oracle (FCCS, ARCS, TRCS, Narrative Reporting) and Powerplan in the larger Finance ecosystem in the Record-to-Report area. In very close collaboration with IT Application Owners, Process Owners and Data Owners, as well as managing relationships with multiple stakeholders within the Finance community, you will cover 5 main areas: Run Operations Excellence, Data Quality Management, Project Management, Training Academy, and Reporting & Dashboarding.
Responsibilities
- Provide service excellence to the Finance community, enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
- Act as a gatekeeper for questions from the Finance community, provide functional answers, and redirect to expert teams.
- Develop a culture of continuous improvements by engaging with users, identifying automation opportunities, and defining priorities for enhancement sprints.
- Drive requirements gathering and define functional design for IT Application owners.
- Define test scenarios, coordinate user testing, and perform tests.
- Optimize license usage, review system access regularly, and ensure internal controls and external audit compliance for access management.
- Ensure data quality in the system by setting up monitoring processes and developing data quality monitoring tools.
- Suggest changes to data models and liaise with data owners to represent Financial Reporting needs.
- Improve data quality and code costs in collaboration with accounting and business users.
- Manage projects end-to-end, including team mobilization, scope definition, requirements gathering, process design, development oversight, testing, and change management.
- Drive adoption of solutions and process efficiencies by setting up training plans and paths for users.
- Define and update training content based on user challenges, support tickets, and transformation needs.
- Assist Finance peers in creating and maintaining reports for Finance analysts.
- Contribute to the Dashboarding strategy for system data and promote self-service reporting.
Requirements
- BS or BA required, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Information Systems.
- Strong experience in Legal Accounting Reporting.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in accounting, data analytics and/or systems implementations/administration.
- Strong hands-on experience in IT Service Management.
- Project Management from A to Z.
- Strong analytical skills to ensure data quality and define impactful reporting.
- International and multicultural experience working with markets outside of Europe is a must.
- Able to understand and handle situations/decisions across a complex ecosystem.
- Able to communicate with people with different backgrounds and ways of working and easily explain technical problems to people without a deep technical understanding.
- Ability to think “Global” and to align regions in this common vision.
