About the Role

The Regional Sales Manager, Western Canada is responsible for leading and motivating a geographically dispersed sales team to achieve business plans and goals. This role drives market share and profitability expansion while ensuring timely resolution of customer service issues and identification of training needs for continuous development.

Responsibilities

  • Manage direct reports towards annual sales, profit, and performance objectives.
  • Analyze national and independent account performance to identify growth opportunities.
  • Conduct regular account reviews to align representative activity with sales plans.
  • Develop quarterly and annual business plans to increase market share.
  • Build strong business relationships with key decision-makers within accounts.
  • Review and approve sales pricing and sales catalogue proposals.
  • Review and approve proposed floor sales incentive programs.
  • Manage the regional sales team budget, including expenses.
  • Conduct field sales visits and activity reviews for coaching and mentorship.
  • Provide ongoing training to enhance employee capabilities.
  • Deliver regular follow-up and feedback to motivate and improve performance.
  • Oversee customer service problems and ensure high service levels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a sales or marketing role within consumer durables.
  • Proven track record of successful delivery of training materials and development of accounts.
  • Demonstrated strategic approach to business planning with an emphasis on sustained growth.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Bilingualism (French) is a definite asset.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working with a CRM platform (preferably Microsoft Dynamics CRM).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Entrepreneurial with the ability to think and act creatively and strategically.
  • Results-oriented with a proven ability to plan and execute.
  • Highly collaborative, great facilitator, leads by example.
  • Broad understanding of program management concepts and tools.
