About the Role
This 12-month fixed-term contract role involves taking ownership of analytical, coordination, and cross-functional workstreams within a fast-paced team. You will manage day-to-day supplier coordination to ensure product delivery on time and in line with commercial standards. The role requires excellent organizational, analytical, commercial, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and manage projects, costs, supplier relations, and cross-functional delivery.
Responsibilities
- Project-manage workstreams within strategic projects to deliver against targets.
- Conduct in-depth product cost analysis to inform negotiation and decision-making.
- Prepare product cost reductions reporting, tracking progress and identifying savings opportunities.
- Liaise with suppliers to monitor and report against process controls.
- Support the creation, initiation, and ongoing management of Control Mechanisms.
- Coordinate cross-functional integration controls between Design, Operations, and suppliers.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with external supply partners.
- Coordinate day-to-day supplier communications for Production Capacity and On Time Delivery Management.
- Flag risks early, support expedition of priority orders, and work with Merchandising to resolve blockers.
- Communicate relevant supplier updates to the New Product Development (NPD) team.
- Support preparation, data collection, analysis, and output of Supplier Annual Business Performance Reviews.
- Communicate supplier monthly buy plan and forecast information to suppliers.
- Drill into capacity versus forecast data and report observations and proposals.
- Coordinate day-to-day Raw Materials Planning, including implementation and tracking of stocks.
- Coordinate supplier onboarding and materials sourcing projects against critical paths.
- Support new supplier evaluation and onboarding activity.
- Coordinate Special Projects as directed.
- Coordinate special cost control and planning projects.
- Conduct in-depth product cost analysis with clear directional findings and actions.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Design and Operations to support product cost control and accuracy.
- Manage Supplier Portal training and ongoing technical support.
- Own New Supplier set-up within the company database.
- Coordinate and resolve any supplier-related and escalated shipping issues.
