About the Role
Operate machinery and processes within the club pack area or spice rooms, ensuring product quality and safety standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Perform shipping & receiving functions, including line setup.
- Ensure proper application of labels, stickers, and shrink wrap.
- Verify packaging meets customer specifications and prevents lot mixing.
- Confirm product availability and readiness for processing.
- Follow rework, club pack, and MOD requirements.
- Prepare spice mixes according to batch cards and sanitary procedures.
- Inspect raw materials before use.
- Observe operations for defects or malfunctions and adjust machinery as needed.
- Maintain GMP (good housekeeping) standards.
- Perform SOPs for machinery.
- Work safely according to company rules and regulations.
- Maintain good attendance.
- Report food safety and quality issues to appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net, Kevlar gloves, safety glasses, skid resistant work shoes/boots).
- Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions, and reasoning.
- Ability to use various hand tools (knife, water hose, band cutters, can opener, scales).
- Previous experience operating a forklift (for applicable work areas).
- Lock out/tag out certified.
- Possess a continuous improvement and team-oriented mindset.
