About the Role
Works from given instructions to operate various manual and CNC lathe/mill machines, manufacturing complex parts and controlling product quality.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture complex parts.
- Control product quality during production runs using calipers, dial bore gages, micrometers, etc.
- Measure and work with tight tolerances in accordance with control plan and blueprint.
- Maintain good working knowledge of proper machine operation and safety.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Edit offsets at machine and/or change tools as required.
- Work on special projects and various related assignments when requested.
- Work in various areas of operations when necessary.
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a machine shop environment.
- Familiar with G and M codes.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be a team player.
