About the Role
Peloton is seeking a Sr. Category Manager, Indirect Sourcing & Procurement to manage and direct spend for assigned categories. This role involves building stakeholder relationships, developing category strategies, and leading negotiations to support business growth and cost reduction.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of sourcing strategies and drive execution for logistics and distribution categories.
- Optimize total direct and indirect costs by collaborating with stakeholders.
- Lead sourcing efforts and execute cost-saving initiatives.
- Project manage cross-functional teams through the RFP process, including requirements definition, bid/negotiations, contract documentation, and integration.
- Support scaling of Peloton’s capabilities by identifying efficiencies and operational improvements.
- Negotiate commercial terms including price, terms, and scope of services.
- Ensure sourcing and procurement activities align with SOX and internal controls.
- Communicate cost savings initiatives through leadership participation and reporting.
- Conduct and manage Quarterly Business Reviews for top logistics providers.
- Align with trade compliance to ensure providers adhere to international trade laws and Peloton policies.
- Implement and supervise process improvements, training, and talent development.
Requirements
- Over 6+ years of experience in Indirect Procurement, specifically in Logistics/Transportation, Marketing, or Technology categories.
- Relevant education or equivalent work experience in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships, set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that improve organizational efficiency.
- Highly results-oriented with a successful record of accomplishments.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to respond to evolving requirements and multifaceted priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
- Ability to balance multiple projects at various phases.
- Ability to work both tactically and strategically in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Act as a self-starter and great teammate with a customer-first approach.
