About the Role
Monroe Group is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to the management team and interact positively with applicants, residents, and co-workers. Ideal candidates are interested in learning about affordable housing property management, enjoy developing skills, and are strong problem-solvers.
Responsibilities
- Support the management team with day-to-day office duties and general administrative activities.
- Answer a multi-line phone.
- Sort mail, handle emails, file records, and perform copying/scanning.
- Perform light cleaning of the front reception area before guests.
- Perform light cleaning in model units before guests.
- Set up and break down meeting rooms for various meetings.
- Process rent and prepare delinquency notices.
- Learn and assist with processing applications and certifications under affordable housing programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operations of the office.
Requirements
- Must be able to work as part of a team or independently with little oversight.
- Must be motivated.
- Must enjoy working with people and have a passion for customer service!
- Ability to pass a full background check.
- Valid driver's license and vehicle required.
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
Skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to produce accurate work consistently.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel).
- English language proficiency (read, speak, and write).

Experience Level
- Minimum of one (1) year in a customer service position.
Education Level
- High School diploma or equivalent
- College Degree is preferred
