About the Role

Performs general labor duties and handles or transports material using various equipment. Receives instructions from Foreman and ensures materials are moved with care to prevent damage.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads material using electric cranes, hand hoists, and overhead crane hooks.
• Transports material to various production departments using a hand truck or powered industrial vehicle.
• Performs general labor duties, sweeps and cleans the plant/yard.
• Maintains supplies in wash rooms.
• Connects and disconnects powered industrial vehicles to battery chargers.
• Checks vehicle batteries.

Requirements

• Exercises judgment to hook up and operate electric cranes and powered industrial vehicles.
• Moves materials with care to ensure no damage is sustained.
• Requires moderate physical exertion to attach slings or hooks to loads.
