About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and/or point-of-sale surroundings while maintaining awareness of suspicious behavior, policy violations, and other security-related concerns.
- Support asset protection and loss prevention efforts by reporting theft-related activity, assisting with access control, and/or providing a visible presence during opening, closing, and busy business hours.
Requirements
- Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5 or more years of armed security experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
