Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or potential risks, while maintaining a professional presence.
- Support loss prevention and other on-site teams by providing visible coverage, assisting with access control, and/or following post orders related to retail operations.
Requirements
- Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
