About the Role
GEA is seeking an experienced and motivated Payroll Specialist to join their team. This role contributes to GEA's mission of creating a sustainable future by ensuring accurate payroll processing. The position is a two-year fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
- Independently perform entire payroll processing, adhering to legal, collective agreement, and social security regulations.
- Serve as the point of contact for employees, managers, and internal interfaces, including for international assignments.
- Independently manage company pension schemes.
- Communicate with health insurance providers and authorities, and support audits.
- Participate in local and global HR/Payroll projects.
- Assist with year-end closing activities, such as reviewing vacation carryovers, creating wage tax statements, and processing social security reports.
Requirements
- Completed commercial apprenticeship.
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in in-house payroll.
- Proficient in SAP, S/4 Hana for payroll and salary administration.
- Strong affinity for numbers and a structured, independent work style.
- Team spirit, service orientation, and resilience.
- Very good German language skills and good English language skills.
