About the Role

The Health Program Administrator I (HPA I) will manage contracts for federally and/or state-funded supportive services for persons living with HIV, ensuring compliance with program goals and standards. This role involves assessing provider performance, negotiating contracts, conducting site visits, reviewing reports, and providing technical assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage contracts for federally and/or state funded supportive services for persons living with HIV.
  • Assess provider performance.
  • Negotiate contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with program work plans, standards, and goals.
  • Conduct site visits and program monitoring.
  • Review monthly/quarterly narrative reports and monthly data reports.
  • Provide technical assistance as needed.
  • Review and approve budget modifications and vouchers.
  • Prepare narrative and statistical reports.
  • Participate in team meetings, Quality Improvement and work groups.
  • Participate in competitive procurement reviews.
  • Contribute to AIDS Institute, bureau and community program planning and development.
  • Complete writing assignments.
  • Perform other appropriate related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of experience in the administration of personnel, fiscal, or other related operational activity; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and five years of such experience; OR seven years of such experience.
  • At least one year of experience must have included supervision of staff and/or program management.
  • A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.
  • Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
  • Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.
  • The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location and must also be located in or willing to relocate to New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire.

Salary/Compensations

  • $90,320.00 - $90,320.00 Annually
  • $4,000 annual downstate adjustment (pro-rated for part-time positions)
