About the Role
This role is responsible for carrying out the NYS music curriculum, developing lesson plans, teaching general music styles, incorporating instruments and movement, and preparing students for school concerts and performances. The ideal candidate will create an enjoyable learning environment to inspire young minds and foster an appreciation for music.
Responsibilities
- Developing lesson plans to be submitted weekly
- Teaching general styles of music
- Incorporating musical instruments and movement in lessons
- Knowledge of liturgical hymns and ability to teach students liturgical hymns
- Experience with conducting production/performances: Lower School Christmas pageant and Sprint Concert for Upper School
- Preparing students for school concerts and planned music experiences
- Communicates well with parents
- Create an enjoyable learning environment to inspire young minds and help them grow in appreciation of music
Requirements
- Knowledge of liturgical hymns and ability to teach students liturgical hymns

Salary/Compensations
- $177 - $261 per diem, depending on degree
