About the Role
To provide contract support services for repairs, maintenance, and capital works on Council stock of 24,000 homes. This role involves responding to complex issues related to work orders and tenant repairs, providing guidance to tenants, contractors, and internal staff to ensure adherence to contract procedures, working practices, and policies.
Responsibilities
- Raise orders for repairs and capital contracts, ensuring correct budget, contract, and priority are entered into IT systems.
- Liaise with tenants, housing staff, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues related to works orders.
- Make decisions on repair priorities and contractor requests, investigating changes based on data and communication with managers.
- Provide contract support for housing repairs, maintenance, specialist areas (gas, electric, asbestos), mains suppliers, cladding, health & safety, and high-rise projects.
- Assess and resolve issues for new build properties in collaboration with housing strategy staff and external contractors.
- Advise and instruct other housing service areas on repair and inspection decisions to ensure policy compliance.
- Monitor IT systems and email for incoming information, making decisions on repairs, health & safety actions, and reporting potential issues.
- Adhere to the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and associated legislation, taking personal responsibility for health, safety, and wellbeing.
