About the Role
The Certified Medical Assistant provides patient care services, determines medical conditions, and prepares patients for examination and treatment under the direction of the Provider. We are seeking an energetic, flexible candidate with a positive attitude and a passion for patient care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination, record vitals and history, and provide treatment
- Prepare, sterilize, and maintain exam rooms, medical supplies, and equipment
- Prepare and administer injections, change dressings, and facilitate wound management
- Collect and analyze laboratory specimens, log results, and perform lab call-backs
- Authorize medication refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies
- Document patient care and procedures using electronic medical records
- Schedule patient tests and appointments
- Instruct patients and families on treatment and medication
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Perform phlebotomy
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Current Certification as a Medical Assistant (RMA, AAMA, NCCT, CMAC, or AMCA)
- Current BLS certification
