About the Role
As a Groundskeeper, you will maintain the buildings, grounds, common areas, and amenities of an American Campus Communities student housing property to ensure high curb appeal. This role offers opportunities for professional growth through certifications and on-the-job training.
Responsibilities
- Clean the interior and exterior of the property to standard.
- Perform property groundskeeping, including trash collection.
- Vacuum, mop, and shampoo floors in resident rooms and common areas.
- Stock bathrooms.
- Assist the service team with work orders, moving furniture, and unloading and storing supplies.
- Support apartment make-ready duties, including trash outs, cleaning, and painting.
- Assist in the property turnover process.
- Support pool maintenance and pressure washing.
- Safely operate facility equipment according to safety protocols.
- Maintain clean and orderly shops, storage areas, and back-of-house environments.
- Serve as a company representative and liaison in all interactions.
Requirements
- Ability to drive a golf cart.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of general labor, housekeeping, and cleaning tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Understanding of MSDS rules for chemical handling.
- Ability to follow written or verbal multi-step instructions.
- Compliance with the Photo, Video and Voice Recording Policy.
