About the Role
The IT Project Manager provides leadership and oversight in the delivery of high priority, high profile projects involving cross-functional teams in a professional manner, adhering to Stikeman Elliott's Project Management Process. The Project Manager will also have responsibility for supporting the ongoing operation of the PMO.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects to successful completion where success is mutually agreed upon with the Project Sponsor.
- Gather and validate project requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to develop a comprehensive project scope, tasks and goals.
- Create schedules and project timelines with detailed work plans to track progress.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors.
- Manage project budgets.
- Create and maintain all project documentation including but not limited to charters, schedules, risk and issue logs, status reports, and meeting notes.
- Follow the firm’s Change Management Process.
- Maintain project status using Smartsheet, Excel, Word, etc., as appropriate.
- Maintain iManage project specific workspaces as directed by the Manager, PMO
- Communicate project status, issues, risks, etc., to all project stakeholders
- Escalate issues or concerns to the Manager, PMO and the CIO (where necessary) in a timely manner
- Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
- Assist the Manager, PMO/CIO/IT Directors on project selection and prioritization activities
- Assist with Smartsheet and iManage administration for the PMO
- Assist with the development and maintenance of the firm’s project management procedures, templates and documentation.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience managing and delivering complex, cross-functional technology and business projects.
- Experience developing and implementing project management processes, plans, and communication strategies.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, processes, and practices, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, issue, dependency, and stakeholder management.
- Ability to identify, facilitate, and resolve project issues while balancing competing priorities.
- Strong business and technical acumen, with the ability to translate business needs into effective project outcomes.
- Demonstrated sense of urgency, accountability, and ownership in delivering successful project outcomes.
Skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to succeed in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Understanding of project management disciplines, including change management, business analysis, and risk management.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities and build relationships across the organization.
- Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with executive-level stakeholders.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Highly organized and motivated, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience leading process improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency with project management methodologies and tools, including Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, and other project management software.

Salary/Compensations
- $90,000 - $100,000 annually
