About the Role

The Yard Supervisor, under the direction of facility management, is responsible for supervising daily yard operations and supporting staff to ensure an exceptional customer service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly audits.
  • Manage daily scheduling with employee time and attendance.
  • Assist with security and loss prevention.
  • Monitor productivity.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • Enforce safety awareness.
  • Oversee vehicle loading.
  • Handle employee and customer service issues.
  • Maintain supply inventory and purchase supplies.
  • Enforce company policy and procedure.
  • Complete all job tasks for supervised positions.
  • Travel as needed.
  • Maintain confidential information and documentation.
  • Address mechanical issues on lots.
  • Manage fleet and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Monitor and maintain the yard fence.
  • Oversee facility and yard maintenance.
  • Respond to alarm calls as needed.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of supervisory or equivalent experience.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive mechanics.
  • Excellent customer service skills and attitude.
  • Computer proficiency, including MS Suite experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to direct and train others effectively as a team member.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to delegate and prioritize.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Ability to read and write English fluently.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and train staff.
  • Ability to differentiate color.
  • Possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Inventory management skills.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime.
