About the Role
The Yard Supervisor, under the direction of facility management, is responsible for supervising daily yard operations and supporting staff to ensure an exceptional customer service experience.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly audits.
- Manage daily scheduling with employee time and attendance.
- Assist with security and loss prevention.
- Monitor productivity.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Enforce safety awareness.
- Oversee vehicle loading.
- Handle employee and customer service issues.
- Maintain supply inventory and purchase supplies.
- Enforce company policy and procedure.
- Complete all job tasks for supervised positions.
- Travel as needed.
- Maintain confidential information and documentation.
- Address mechanical issues on lots.
- Manage fleet and perform preventive maintenance.
- Monitor and maintain the yard fence.
- Oversee facility and yard maintenance.
- Respond to alarm calls as needed.
Requirements
- 1+ years of supervisory or equivalent experience.
- Basic knowledge of automotive mechanics.
- Excellent customer service skills and attitude.
- Computer proficiency, including MS Suite experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to direct and train others effectively as a team member.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to delegate and prioritize.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Ability to read and write English fluently.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and train staff.
- Ability to differentiate color.
- Possess excellent customer service skills.
- Inventory management skills.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Valid driver's license.
- Willingness to work occasional overtime.
