About the Role
Metergy Solutions Inc. is a rapidly growing technology company focused on reducing carbon emissions through submetering services. We are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to manage, develop, and execute our Business Intelligence & Revenue Assurance Program, operations dashboards, reporting, and Gross Margin Integrity.
Responsibilities
- Extract, clean, and analyze large volumes of data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Conduct deep dive business intelligence analysis into operational areas to provide insights on key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop insights and recommendations for leadership.
- Provide monthly management insight for performance opportunities and financial variance analysis.
- Understand regulation changes and launch organizational projects to implement changes in submetering.
- Plan, develop, and approve operational policies and standard operating procedures for revenue assurance.
- Monitor daily performance against key metrics to identify opportunities and anomalies.
- Review current operational processes and recommend improvements.
- Work with departmental owners to implement controls supporting the lead-to-cash process for all revenue streams.
- Develop and champion revenue leakage issues by engaging stakeholders for revenue maximization.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in Business Intelligence, data analytics, and emerging technologies.
- Evaluate and incorporate new tools or techniques to enhance BI capabilities.
Requirements
- Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Math, Economics, Business or other quantitative fields.
- High proficiency in data modeling and analysis using Excel, PowerBI (Power Query) & SQL.
- Basic knowledge of Python is an asset.
- 2+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Operations, or relevant work experience at a fast-growing utility company is preferred.
- Preference for additional training with Data Analytics / IT.
- Preference for experience with data visualization tools.
- Excellent collaboration skills to build strong working partnerships with stakeholders.
- Understanding and experience working with statistical revenue and costing information.
- Strong technical skills to mine large volumes of data.
- Ability to apply superior data knowledge & discovery skills into building effective analysis.
- Ability to conduct basic statistical and correlation analysis.
- Industry or working experience with customer billing environments with large transaction volumes (e.g., Utility or Telecommunications).
- Attention to detail and quality, strong time management and project/work planning skills.
- Proven ability to deliver Industry Leading Best-in-Class reporting and analytical solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer interaction skills, including communications, presentation, and conflict resolution.
