About the Role
The Senior Designer, 2D VM will support the 2D graphics development within the Americas Visual Merchandising team, ensuring all executions align with global brand guidelines and elevate the in-store presence. This role requires collaboration in a fast-paced environment, valuing collegiality, intelligence, and skill.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and adaptation of Americas 2D VM creative including NPL campaigns, permanent rollouts, and trade events.
- Translate existing global designs to a variety of retail fixture formats.
- Execute artwork revisions including copy updates, pricing, and translations.
- Mark up images for retouching, up-resing, and CMYK conversions.
- Organize and prepare files for final artwork release to the printer based on specific retailer and vendor specifications.
- Maintain quality control by checking all assets against specifications and guidelines for accuracy prior to releasing files.
- Review and approve proofs from the printer.
- Ensure that all artwork is delivered on schedule.
- Contribute to creative and visual development as the brand continues its evolution.
- Ensure brand design standards are upheld and style guide is adhered to.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Creative, Copy, Project Management, and Visual Merchandising teammates.
- Manage multiple deliverables simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
- Gracefully receive feedback from Creative team and cross-functional partners, interpret it and apply it to the work.
- Articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
- Maintain strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Be aware of current visual, industry and cultural trends.
- Be passionate and engaged in the work and industry.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a VM 2D design or related creative role.
- Beauty background strongly preferred with experience partnering with Americas retailers, including Sephora, Ulta.
- Strong portfolio, strong print design and print production background, particularly in large formats.
- Understanding of retailer and vendor specifications, technical drawings and planograms.
- Strong time management skills, able to juggle multiple projects and priorities, manage project timelines and meet deadlines while maintaining creative consistency.
- Flexible, nimble and comfortable working in a fast-paced and sometimes high-volume environment.
