About the Role
Qureight is seeking an early-career or graduate software validation engineer to help deliver high-quality products to clinical trial customers and meet regulatory requirements. The role involves working with automated testing frameworks and identifying critical product issues within a cloud-based platform used for curating and analyzing clinical trial data.
Responsibilities
- Implement testing strategies across Qureight’s integrated software stack, including automated unit, integration, regression and E2E tests.
- Ensure functional, performance, regulatory, privacy, and security requirements are tested prior to product release.
- Manage test runs, identifying, reporting, and tracking software defects.
- Participate in software design reviews to ensure requirements are clear, concise, and testable.
- Contribute to the improvement of automated processes that produce traceable artifacts.
- Attend sprint planning and stand-up meetings.
- Contribute to risk-based computer systems validation (CSV) to ensure compliance with clinical trial, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Proactively suggest improvements to product quality and work processes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest best practices, testing methodologies, and frameworks.
Requirements
- Industry experience in software testing (preferably for a cloud-hosted product suite), through previous roles, internships or projects.
- Experience validating Python-based software stacks.
- Familiarity with systems that include machine learning components is advantageous.
- Skilled in the use of common test frameworks and tools such as pytest, Playwright, Selenium.
- Experienced in the use of CI/CD tools (Gitlab).
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Analytical mindset.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience or knowledge of software validation in a regulated industry is a bonus.
- Knowledge of formal Computer Systems Validation/Assurance methodologies, e.g., GAMP 5, is a bonus.
- A degree or degree-equivalent in a relevant scientific or technical area, e.g., computer science or engineering, is beneficial but not essential.
