About the Role
As the Corporate Sponsor, you will lead on ensuring efficient ways of working across the Sponsorship and Shareholder Relations Directorate. You will provide clear advice on Development Agreement (DA) and Framework Document (FD) requirements to colleagues and the wider HS2 Ltd business, establishing consistent processes for teams to follow. The role also supports cross-cutting issues interfacing with the Department for Transport (DfT), including costs, funding, and scope, and HS2 Ltd.'s input into DfT governance and external reviews.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of key work areas within the Sponsorship and Shareholder Relations Directorate.
- Proactively build and maintain relationships with DfT and relevant HS2 Ltd colleagues.
- Manage the HS2 Development Agreement (DA), acting as the single point of contact with the DfT Client Team to agree and oversee DA change instructions.
- Provide guidance to colleagues on DA issues and ensure the DA remains fit for purpose.
- Manage the HS2 Ltd Framework Document (FD), acting as the first point of contact with the DfT Shareholder Team on shareholder and corporate governance issues.
- Provide guidance to colleagues on FD issues and lead for HS2 Ltd on FD updates.
- Own the Requirements Management Framework to ensure effective management of HS2 Ltd’s consolidated set of top-level programme requirements.
- Support the Head of Corporate and Delivery Sponsorship and the Sponsorship and Shareholder Relations Director on HS2 Ltd’s participation in DfT and wider Government governance meetings.
- Be responsible for corporate sponsorship activities, including liaison with DfT on Parliamentary Reports and DfT requests for briefings and information.
- Support the Head of Corporate and Delivery Sponsorship on cross-cutting issues with the Department for Transport (DfT).
- Support the Sponsorship Senior Management Team to build capability and develop the Sponsorship team.
- Coordinate HS2 Ltd’s input into external reviews of the programme and organisation.
- Actively promote and embed Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all work.
