About the Role

Join the Commercial Partnerships Business Operations team at Cancer Research Horizons, the innovation engine of Cancer Research UK. You will provide essential administrative and data support, working alongside Finance and Business Intelligence specialists to ensure an insight-led approach to translating academic research into life-saving drugs and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Support finance processes including receivables, purchase orders, patent fees, supplier setup, and invoice tracking
  • Perform data management tasks such as entry, validation, cleansing, and maintenance to ensure data integrity
  • Assist in producing and distributing reports, dashboards, and performance metrics
  • Prepare analyses, presentations, and insight reports for strategic projects
  • Document reporting processes, data definitions, and standard operating procedures
  • Support the implementation and improvement of reporting tools and business intelligence processes
  • Conduct ad hoc analytical data projects including collection and basic analysis
  • Maintain data integrity within the record management system
  • Manage group inboxes and stakeholder expectations
  • Design and maintain standard operating procedures

Requirements

  • Genuine interest in data management, reporting, and business intelligence
  • Strong desire to develop analytical skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work to a high standard with attention to detail
  • Ability to work under own initiative and manage multiple projects
  • Experience in an administrative capacity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Proactive and self-motivated approach
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
