About the Role

RECONN is seeking problem solvers who take pride in public safety and are comfortable in a fast-paced, exciting work environment to join our team as Damage Prevention Advisors. This role is crucial for ensuring safety and compliance on excavation sites within the utility industry.

Responsibilities

• Ensure NY 811 is called for utility mark-out and responded to accordingly.
• Verify the scope of work with machinery is in accordance with CR753 during excavation.
• Work with contractors on CR 753 daily.
• Advise on corrective actions when necessary.
• Reinforce positive actions when a proper dig occurs.
• Inspect equipment daily.
• Perform daily work planning.

Requirements

• One-year experience locating gas assets preferred.
• Outstanding safety/quality record.
• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time on varying types of terrain; bend and stoop; lift heavy items up to 75 lbs.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
• Proficiency with technology.
• High level of organizational skills, excellent time management skills, and the ability to focus on details.
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to pass a drug screen.

Skills

• Knowledgeable in the construction and utility industries.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office products.
• Basic computer functions.
• Data entry.
• Smartphone use.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Previous outdoor experience is a plus.

• $20 per hour for new technicians
• $27 per hour for those with substantial prior experience
