About the Role

This role is responsible for delivering the media strategy, supporting and strengthening the positive profile of Veolia in UK national, regional, broadcast and trade media. The post holder will create engaging stories that promote the Veolia brand, business strategy and innovation, and will be responsible for the creation and delivery of proactive media content, including writing, proofreading, editing, and securing media coverage. The role also involves managing proactive and reactive content to protect and enhance the Veolia brand and raise awareness of the company’s purpose and services, building strong relationships with journalists, identifying media opportunities, and providing media response and crisis support.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the media strategy to support and strengthen the positive profile of Veolia in UK national, regional, broadcast and trade media.
  • Create engaging stories that promote the Veolia brand, business strategy and innovation across all corporate functions and business units.
  • Be responsible for the creation and delivery of proactive media content, including writing, proofreading, and editing content.
  • Secure media coverage.
  • Work on proactive and reactive content to protect and enhance the Veolia brand and raise awareness of the company’s purpose and services.
  • Build strong relationships with journalists.
  • Identify media opportunities on evolving issues.
  • Provide media response, including out of hours coverage.
  • Provide crisis media support for unplanned events.

Requirements

  • Ability to create appropriate content for dissemination via press releases and other distribution channels.
  • Ability to perform press liaison and briefings.
  • Demonstrable experience with building effective media campaigns.
  • Ability to nurture long-term relationships with key media influencers.
  • Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills.

Salary/Compensations

  • up to £49,000 per annum plus 20% bonus
  • Car or Car allowance £6,600 Per annum
