About the Role
National Railroad Safety Services, Inc. is seeking a safety-driven professional to oversee construction, maintenance, and safety compliance for railroad projects. This role ensures all work within railroad rights-of-way is performed safely and in accordance with federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee worksite safety and provide flagging services
- Conduct job briefings and ensure compliance with FRA regulations (49 CFR 214)
- Monitor track conditions, approaching trains, and work activities to ensure personnel safety
- Coordinate train movements and permissions with dispatchers, engineers, and supervisors
- Document activities including job briefings, incident reports, and daily work logs
- Enforce all Railroad, State, and Federal policies
Requirements
- Ability for long-term travel assignments, including multi-month deployments
- Valid Driver's License
- Successfully complete all required federal, client, and company-specific training
- Pass pre-employment/recurrent background checks
- Pass drug and alcohol testing
