About the Role

This role is responsible for carrying out kitchen tasks, managing deliveries, cleaning, stocking, and maintaining food safety standards to represent DMG Media ideals.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out kitchen tasks as directed by the head chef or sous chef.
  • Collect deliveries, clean, and stock the kitchen and restaurant.
  • Assist with cleaning duties effectively and in a friendly manner.
  • Maintain DMG Media standards of food safety and cleanliness.
  • Represent DMG Media ideals at all times.
  • Wash restaurant and kitchen equipment.
  • Check deliveries and assist with stock take.
  • Perform routine cleaning thoroughly and effectively.
  • Assist at other local units if needed.
  • Follow DMG Media policies and procedures.
  • Report deficiencies in systems of work or equipment.
  • Use work equipment and PPE properly.
  • Report any issues or training needs to the Line Manager.

Requirements

  • An understanding of food preparation methods.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good timekeeping.
  • Thorough and effective in cleaning tasks.
  • A friendly attitude towards colleagues and customers.
