About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Publicity Manager to champion authors and titles across fiction, narrative non-fiction, and children's genres. You will lead sales-driving publicity campaigns, build media campaigns, secure coverage, plan book tours, and nurture relationships with media and industry partners.

Responsibilities

  • Writing compelling press releases and building bespoke publicity plans that secure print, broadcast, podcast, and online coverage.
  • Pitching across the full lists to journalists, bookshops, literary festivals, and event partners to grow massive awareness for our authors.
  • Managing relationships with authors and agents, providing them with top-tier support, guidance, and interview prep.
  • Working extensively with our Sales and Editorial teams, as well as the Sourcebooks US team, to provide proactive internal and external updates.
  • Developing long-term strategy for our brand authors, pitching for serial rights, and independently managing your campaign budgets with a sharp eye.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise and experience in leading sales-driving publicity campaigns.
  • Ability to juggle a varied workload and possess the professional maturity to pivot campaign directions when necessary.
  • Absolute confidence when pitching to press, festivals, and partners.
  • Understanding of how great PR directly drives book sales.
  • Ability to bring a positive, collaborative energy to a dynamic team.
  • Track record of delivering high-impact campaigns and working with high-profile authors or brands.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Desire to deliver elite author care.
  • Must be within a reasonable commuting distance of London.
