About the Role

As a Runner at Soho House, you will play a vital supporting role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of service between the kitchen and front-of-house teams. You will be responsible for delivering food and beverages promptly, maintaining cleanliness, and organization across service areas, and assisting waiting staff to ensure members receive a superior experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to members’ tables.
• Deliver drinks orders from the bar to members’ tables.
• Act as a point of contact between the kitchen/bar and the floor.
• Maintain a spotless, pristine work environment.
• Provide service and be accountable for an assigned section.
• Develop relationships with members to provide personalized service.
• Polish cutlery ensuring they are ready for service.
• Prepare additions to tables in advance (e.g., lemon wraps, condiments, butter portions).
• Perform opening and closing procedures, including station setup and breakdown.
• Ensure all service equipment is handled carefully and stored correctly.
• Attend regular meetings with front and back of house teams to learn about menu changes and specials.
• Participate in daily tastings.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in a similar high-end dining environment.
• Excellent food and beverage knowledge, including wine service.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with a hands-on approach.
• Confident, polished, and professional demeanor.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with POS systems and reservation software.
