About the Role

We are seeking a talented Robotics and Software Design Engineer to design, develop, integrate, test, and deliver AI-driven solutions for autonomous robotic systems. This role combines expertise in AI algorithms and PX4 flight stack customization to enable next-generation unmanned aerial systems. You will work in a cross-disciplinary team of engineers, collaborate with leading organizations and research institutions locally and internationally, and gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge robotics and AI technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy AI models related to autonomous navigation including obstacle avoidance and path planning.
  • Optimize machine learning algorithms for embedded systems and companion computers (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson).
  • Integrate AI modules with PX4 using MAVLink and ROS2 bridges.
  • Customize and optimize PX4 flight stack for mission-specific requirements.
  • Implement new flight control algorithms and enhance real-time performance.
  • Experiment with and evaluate emerging technologies for autonomy.
  • Work closely with hardware, software, and systems engineers to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Co-develop technologies with leading organizations and research institutions globally.
  • Conduct SITL/HIL simulations and real-world flight tests.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements for drone operations in Singapore.

Requirements

  • Experience in drone development, robotics, or autonomous systems is a bonus.
  • In-depth knowledge of PX4 and Ardupilot flight control software.
  • Proficiency with QGroundControl and Mission Planner.
  • Strong understanding of unmanned aircraft systems and components.
  • Familiarity with Singapore drone regulations and safety requirements.
  • Programming skills in C, C++, and Python.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
