About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Publicity Manager to champion authors and titles across fiction, narrative non-fiction, and children's genres. You will lead sales-driving publicity campaigns, build media campaigns, secure coverage, plan book tours, and nurture relationships with media and industry partners.

Responsibilities

  • Writing compelling press releases and building publicity plans to secure print, broadcast, podcast, and online coverage.
  • Pitching authors and titles to journalists, bookshops, literary festivals, and event partners.
  • Managing relationships with authors and agents, providing support and interview preparation.
  • Working with Sales and Editorial teams to provide internal and external updates.
  • Developing long-term strategy for brand authors, pitching for serial rights, and managing campaign budgets.
  • Shaping the role and bringing your own vision to this newly created position.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise and experience in leading publicity campaigns.
  • Experience in building high-impact media campaigns.
  • Experience in securing traditional and digital coverage.
  • Experience in planning and executing book tours.
  • Experience in nurturing relationships with journalists, festivals, and bookshops.
  • Ability to juggle a varied workload and pivot campaign directions.
  • Confidence in pitching to press, festivals, and partners.
  • Understanding of how PR drives book sales.
  • Positive, collaborative energy.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to deliver elite author care.
  • Must be within a reasonable commuting distance of London.
