About the Role
AI Functions delivers the functional software that shapes the behavior of the system and directly influences how customers perceive the product. These include Driving, Parking, Active Safety, Display and InCabin.
Responsibilities
- Develop AI models for motion prediction of traffic participants leveraging large-scale data.
- Implement C++ postprocessing modules for trajectory optimization and safety checks to enhance maneuver precision and safety.
- Drive the transition toward a fully AI-driven approach across all customer-facing ADAS functions, replacing traditional rule-based logic.
- Shape and support the adoption of AI technology and modern software architectures while ensuring timely series delivery.
- Oversee the selection, curation, and validation of high-quality datasets for training, testing, and evaluation.
- Ensure the quality of the team's work by tracking and influencing key performance indicators.
- Ensure performant deployment of AI prediction models on the embedded vehicle platform, including quantization effects.
- Understand the team's codebase and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data flow, integration, and compliance with safety, performance, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python for AI model development and data science, ideally within the automotive or robotics domain.
- Proven experience in embedded C++ engineering for safety-critical systems.
- Deep understanding of object prediction, trajectory planning, and postprocessing techniques such as safety checks.
- Familiarity with all ADAS functions and functional safety standards.
- Experience implementing ASIL-compliant software architectures.
- Hands-on mentality with a proactive approach to shaping team architecture and understanding the codebase.
- Well-versed in state-of-the-art technologies, including transformers and generative AI approaches.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams with expertise in C++, AI/ML deployment, and data engineering.
- Strong analytical skills with a clear understanding of how to define, measure, and influence functional and non-functional KPIs.
- Collaborative mindset and comfort working at the intersection of AI, software engineering, functional safety, and behavioral design.
- Passion for building robust and reliable systems that perform effectively under complex real-world conditions.
