About the Role

We are seeking a talented Associate (2+ PQE) to join our Structured Finance & Derivatives practice in London or Bristol. The successful candidate will work on a broad range of sophisticated domestic and cross-border structured products matters, advising leading financial institutions, asset managers and other market participants on transaction structuring, execution and related regulatory considerations. The role offers exposure to complex and innovative transactions across a wide variety of asset classes, including structured debt products, exchange traded products, repackagings, structured credit transactions and strategic equity solutions. As a senior member of the team, you will take ownership of significant transaction workstreams, manage day-to-day client relationships and play a key role in the successful delivery of complex matters. You will work closely with colleagues across Financial Markets, Capital Markets and Financial Regulation to provide commercially focused advice and support clients on some of the most interesting transactions in the market.

Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent common law jurisdiction)
  • 2+ years' post-qualification experience with strong exposure to structured finance or structured products work gained within a leading practice
  • Experience working with investment banks, asset managers, financial institutions or other sophisticated financial market participants
  • Strong technical and transaction management skills
  • Ability to take ownership of matters and client relationships
  • Collaborative and commercially-minded
  • Interest in mentoring junior lawyers
  • Interest in contributing to the continued growth of the practice
