About the Role

Responsible for conceptual development, pricing, and writing detailed technical proposals for customized Automation and Build to Print projects. This role involves collaborating with engineering management, assisting technical staff, engaging with vendors, and traveling to customer sites for project development and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual development, pricing, and writing detailed technical proposals for customized Automation and Build to Print projects.
• Involve key members of engineering management in pricing and conceptual layout for complex projects.
• Assist engineers and technical staff in design and development by analyzing technical problems and adhering to customer specifications.
• Involve third-party vendors and suppliers in the quoting process.
• Travel to customer sites to assist in project or product development, working with engineering design specifications, objectives, and standards.
• Provide sales presentations to customer personnel.
• Obtain and prepare detailed estimates of time, quantities, labor, and material costs for various work areas.
• Assemble and collect technical information and customer specifications to prepare detailed proposals.
• Analyze material and write proposals in clear, concise language, then select, organize, edit, and revise.
• Ensure proposals are sent to customers by the most efficient route to meet deadlines.
• Undertake special projects in support of engineering and sales & marketing.
• Define the scope of work adequately in proposals for project managers and teams.
• Prepare cost estimates and release them to the Project Manager at the project's commencement.
