About the Role
Dott is the leading shared micro-mobility operator in Europe. The Vehicle Product Team acts as technical experts on vehicle development, repair, maintenance, and safety. This internship will involve solving mechanical quality issues, developing feature improvements, and assisting with workshop duties.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and perform root cause analysis of failed vehicle components and other vehicle issues
- Creation and validation of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents
- Research, concept generation, design, and prototyping of new projects and components
- Component validation testing
- Assist with test vehicle teardowns and simple maintenance
- Perform general duties in our Berlin engineering workshop (cleaning, organizing, packaging & shipping)
- General admin and documentation
- Occasional visits to our local operations warehouse as needed
Requirements
- Enrolled in a Mechanical/Automotive/Mechatronics Engineering (or similar) course (Bachelor's or Master's)
- Passed all first-year classes
- Proficient in English, verbal and written
- Hands-on experience (hobby and/or professional)
- Affinity with bikes/scooters/motorcycles is a plus
