About the Role

Join KBR's Capability Life Cycle Manager (CLCM) team at Garden Island, Sydney, and play a key role in delivering high-impact engineering solutions that support critical Defence sustainment activities. As an experienced Electrical Engineer, you will contribute to the delivery of specialised engineering services across a diverse range of projects, with a strong focus on electrical systems. Working within the CLCM Special Projects Team, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering professionals, provide technical leadership and mentorship to Electrical and Systems Engineers, and leverage your engineering expertise to influence complex sustainment outcomes. Holding an Engineering Delegation, you will provide risk-based technical advice and engineering guidance, supporting the Principal Engineer while helping to drive innovation, safety, and engineering excellence across the program. Responsibilities

Provide Electrical Systems Subject Matter Expertise, technical guidance, leadership and direction in support of Engineering activities required to support delivery of the Special Projects Team services IAW the contracted requirements from the ACSSPO.
Autonomously deliver engineering outputs to planned schedule under limited direction.
Deliver engineering activities to ensure compliance with approved policy, plans and processes.
Conduct work to the requirements of the Engineering Management Plan.
Develop tasking statements for design tasks to be executed in accordance with the planned schedule.
Work within a multidisciplinary team to develop design solutions and requirements in the context of Engineering Change Management, Configuration management, Systems Safety and Certification.
Review engineering design task deliverables and conduct associated technical Design Reviews.
Conduct technical risk assessments within the limits of engineering delegation.
Work within and to the requirements of Navy Seaworthiness framework and the ACSSPO Authorised Engineering Organisation (AEO).
Verify new Request for Problem Resolution (RPR) against the approved Requirements baseline, Certification Basis and Safety Case Report on the PBS.
Perform work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, systems integration, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.

Requirements

Must be eligible for ITAR clearance of relevant ship systems.
Eligible to obtain SQEP Engineering Delegation Authority within an Authorised Engineering Organisation.
All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Baseline Defence Security Clearance.
Only candidates holding a Baseline Clearance or above should apply.
