About the Role

As a member of Takeda Business Solutions (TBS), which has evolved from a traditional service delivery organization to a solution provider, this role supports end-to-end processes and provides effective and efficient solutions to the business. The position requires a customer-centric mindset to propose solutions and expand their scope, as well as to support team performance, motivation, and talent development under the guidance of the Team Lead. This role is expected to contribute to Takeda’s growth and to our promise of “for all patients” by providing accurate and timely financial data based on SAP, continuously improving operations, and promoting process standardization and digitalization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general accounting and reporting activities (journal entries, account reconciliations, balance analysis, and monthly/quarterly/annual closing) in accordance with IFRS and J-GAAP
  • Handle cash settlement operations, bank payment processing, funding activities (borrowings, bonds, and related derivative transactions), and back/middle-office operations related to investment securities; also perform accounting, reconciliation, and reporting related to Cash & Banking. Collaborate with the Lodz Treasury team and GF Treasury team to promote global harmonization and drive process improvements through digitalization
  • Execute billing, cash application, and accounts receivable management; ensure accuracy of revenue and receivables through reconciliations and balance analysis; analyze discrepancies and overdue receivables and conduct collection activities. Support business units in monitoring and improving collection performance. Promote I2C process standardization and global harmonization, and contribute to operational efficiency and end-user experience through continuous end-to-end process improvements. Drive automation and quality improvement of I2C operations using digital tools such as AI and RPA
  • Prepare and review tax filings and various disclosure materials
  • Ensure SOX compliance, regulatory compliance, audit support, and periodic process reviews
  • Improve operational quality through continuous improvement initiatives to achieve best-in-class performance
  • Promote digital transformation by leveraging advanced technologies such as AI
  • Enhance operational efficiency and end-user experience through global harmonization and continuous improvement on a global scale

Requirements

  • Business-level proficiency in either Chinese (Mandarin or Taiwanese) and Japanese, or Korean and Japanese
  • Experience using SAP
  • Understanding of accounting standards (local GAAP in Taiwan or Korea, and/or IFRS)
  • Knowledge and experience in closing and general accounting operations
  • Knowledge of internal controls and compliance
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Relationship-building skills
  • Results-oriented with strong ownership, initiative, engagement, and teamwork mindset
  • Proactive in identifying issues, proposing improvements, and acting beyond assigned responsibilities
  • Strong interest in operational excellence and continuous improvement
