About the Role
The Therapeutic Residential Group in Berlin-Wedding supports pregnant women with migration backgrounds and mothers with children under six who need assistance with co-parenting due to mental illness or severe life crises. A multidisciplinary, interculturally trained team provides 24/7 support in a therapeutic setting, offering a stable and safe environment and collaboratively developing individual perspectives.
Responsibilities
- Assume approximately one shift per week.
- Be available for on-call duty during specified hours (weekdays 8:30 PM - 8:30 AM, weekends 6:00 PM - 9:30 AM).
- Be responsive to residents and children, providing support, conflict resolution, and crisis intervention as needed.
- Document activities and provide handovers to the day shift.
Requirements
- Professional degree in education, social pedagogy, social work, childhood education, special needs education, or psychology.
- Experience working with individuals with mental illnesses.
- Experience working with mothers and children.
- Independent action and decision-making skills.
- A respectful and appreciative attitude.
